The one day I came for lunch to meet you ,the warm welcome in your home , it felt so warm and welcoming It almost felt like home . The memory you leave of yourself , your son I know so well , the walking footsteps-of new life, his Grandad will tell the stories so well . I know you were a man of the land , and perhaps the footsteps in the sand , never forgotten I wish I new more , but knowing your Alan I new more, as that’s who i sore . We wish you well where ever that may be , your great grandchildren will walk the lands in what you used to see. Your sons for ever loving your wife who will cry , but all is never lost as part of you shall never die .
